Welcome to the JRTCC website

The Jack Russell Terrier Club of Canada was formed in 1989. We welcome all Jack Russell Terrier admirers and owners of this versatile dog. Our interests range from showing, to hunting, to breeding but we all share a love of this most loyal companion and best friend! Come out to promote the breed, or attend a fun day or trial.

New! Day camp programs for kids to learn all about pets

In July, Club affiliate Jack Russell Rescue of Ontario(JRTRO) is piloting a new fundraising project, in partnership with Toronto Animal Services. They will be offering Day Camp programs for kids to interact with pets. Deadline for registration is May 31.
The camp for kids 6 12 years old will be 5 days of learning all about cats/dogs, working in a shelter, touring a vet clinic, spending a day with dogs with jobs, alternative pets (hamsters, birds, ferrets, etc), learning to draw pets, and many other great things. The second Camp is a Mini Vet School offered for kids 11-16 years old. This 5 day course includes learning pet first aid and working hands-on in a shelter and vet clinic, in a variety of pet care disciplines.
The full camp schedule is available at Pawsitively Pets Kids Camp. If you register, remember to list the JRTRO as the place where you want to send the proceeds from your admission fee. You will receive a tax receipt for that amount and your child will be thrilled with the experience.

Terrier Tails

With delightful humour and dogged devotion, the editor of Terrier Tails has turned her energies to publishing JRT stories and videos on her blog. As she describes it, her site is "Miss Sally’s ‘Daily Yap’ about everything in JRT World and anything else that catches her ever inquisitive little eye." At Miss Sally’s behest, the editor endured the downpours at Twin Trials of August and has posted her report on the 2 days of fun organized by JRTCC and Jack Russell Rescue of Ontario. Don’t miss Miss Sally's report and see the editor’s fine photos at
